    Mortlach creates a stunning and melancholic landscape on ‘IV-Into The Darkness Below’. Summoning a bold arrangement of synths and haunting atmospherics, at times it’s as if we’re experiencing the clarity of a horror film soundtrack. Blending minimalistic keys and audacious synth effects, we’re treated to a grim effort that is mesmerizing and soul satisfying. Including bits of electronica and lo-fi percussion, there is a variety of sounds to ingest but Mortlach does and outstanding job of fusing these elements to produce a creative album that epitomizes the Dungeon Synth sound.
